Arctodus simus, or "Short-Faced Bear" is an extinct animal from 10,000 years ago, and the biggest bear in history.
At 3.9m tal and weighing 800g, it has long arms and legs for its body size which allows it to run at great speeds. Its skull is similar in shape to the skull of the modern lion, possessing large fangs and a strong jaw.
