A student, Matsuki is the apparent dead body that fell from a mountain but ended up a splattered mess beyond recognition when he hit the bottom. The group found his student id during the climb up the mountain and were able to discover his identity.
Though it is technically unconfirmed if the corpse is Matsuki it likely is.
